Speech & Speakers: the formation of information of individuals in discourse and genre.(Reading 3.4)

On the reading 3.4, we will discuss about the Speech & Speakers: the formation of information of individuals in discourse and genre that presented by Ulliyana and Syifaq last week. Based on their performance i can really figure out about their understanding about the subject. Syifaq like usual really interested with her performance and try very best to make us clear.
First of all I quite blurs to the topic until I get the curse from dizzy spell and almost want to cry. It is very hard to define the article and maybe during the presentation I did not pay attention at all and I need to be more alert for new coming. The topics are discussing about talking and exemplified by two types of women in the article. It also gives the definition of sub topics and perception of language user towards society. This kind of article maybe found on the newspaper and my friend said that this article is all about bias especially to the women itself. Example like “Chick” refer to the women and also same like “beach”. Why we not simply call women in police uniform just policewoman instead of policeman? Why superhero over the world just simply known as “superman”,”batman”,”iron man”? And why they use man to represent people instead of women? So all of this sort thing seems like a bias to women and women look like a weak creatures ever after.
These elements can cause by lack of information and the person who just stay at one place and not going everywhere. When the discrimination happen, it will shows to another people how weak they are in the society. So far, I still on the right track in this subject and on the way to understanding more deeply. This group also did not come out with current issues that related with our world nowadays but overall I fine with this group’s work.

**looking at Syifaq, remembering me to my good friends Liyana Mohd Rosli or more closely call her “Yana Gelud”. Miss her so much!
